Collegiate Farm Bureau at UW-Madison elected six new officers to serve during the 2017-2018 academic year at the Spring banquet on May 2nd. The Spring banquet took place at the University Club on the UW-Madison campus. Outgoing officers recognized the accomplishments from the past year. Following the presentation, members voted for a new officer team.
Connor Willems was elected as the new president of the Collegiate Farm Bureau at UW-Madison. Connor is senior studying Dairy Science. This summer he is working for Cargill as a dairy-focused intern. Sara Griswold, the previous CFB president, is moving to the role of vice president. Sara is a senior studying Life Sciences Communication and will be a marketing communications intern for CNH Industrial this summer in Racine, Wis.
Micheala Slind was elected CFB’s new treasurer. She is a senior studying Dairy Science and is working with Cargill this summer as a dairy-focused intern. Emily Matzke, the new secretary, is a sophomore studying Animal Science and Life Sciences Communication with an Agricultural Business Management Certificate. Emily will be working with AgrAbility this summer in Madison, Wis. as a Program Assistant.
CFB’s new Ag in the Classroom Director is Jessica Wendt. Jessica, a junior majoring in Agricultural Business Management, is participating in Land O’ Lakes, Inc. Global Food Challenge this summer, based in Minneapolis, Minn. Jordan Gaal is working as the new Public Relations Director. He is a senior majoring in Life Sciences Communication and Digital Studies and is working with Post Consumer Brands this summer in Lakeville, Minn.
